Ohio Ghana Festival (OhioGhanaFest), is a Ghanaian festival featuring our rich culture, arts, music, and dance, from the diaspora perspective with performers from the local, national and international arts and culture market.
OhioGhanaFest is a non-profit organization in Columbus, Ohio-USA. The city of Columbus has a sister cities relationship with the city of Accra-Ghana. To help strengthen this relationship, OhioGhanaFest’s commitment is to create a sustainable festival event that will be a platform for Ghanaian Artists to showcase their creations and have the opportunity to develop and grow in a progressive, productive, and truly inclusive accessible arts and culture environment.
OhioGhanaFest invites and encourages artists, and other professionals to showcase their work and contribute to the ongoing conversation and action across the diaspora. OhioGhanaFest is a unique international caliber festival that will enhance and expand economic activities and promote cultural tourism in the Columbus region.
We will achieve this with the various programming before and after each festival. This initiative is a story in motion told through a variety of foods, entertainment, seminars, festivals, and training with all stakeholders. Every section of this festival- music, food and entertainment distinctly presented at the festival is intended to offer the citizens of Ohio a true cultural experience.
